We are seeking a fractional CFO to help architect the financial foundation required to scale responsibly.
The Role:
This is a strategic executive role, not a bookkeeping position.
We are looking for a CFO who can operate in early-stage complexity and help transform momentum into structured financial clarity — without slowing innovation.
You will work directly with founders and executive leadership to help design:
• Financial architecture
• Capital strategy
• Fundraising readiness
• Revenue modeling across hardware, SaaS, and enterprise partnerships
This role begins as a fractional engagement with the potential for expanded scope based on performance and company growth.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Leadership
• Design scalable financial architecture for a hybrid hardware and SaaS ecosystem
• Build financial models that support enterprise partnerships and long-term valuation
• Support executive-level decision making and prioritization
Fundraising & Capital Strategy
• Assist in seed and early institutional fundraising preparation
• Support investor materials, financial narratives, and readiness
• Help structure capital deployment, burn strategy, and runway planning
Operational & Executive Support
• Assist in structuring contractor and team compensation frameworks
• Support forecasting and growth planning
• Align financial decisions with long-term enterprise strategy
Partnership & Ecosystem Support
• Support enterprise discussions across veterinary, telecom, insurance, and municipal partners
• Help translate ecosystem partnerships into revenue logic and valuation strategy
Ideal Background
• Experience as a startup CFO or fractional CFO
• Strong understanding of venture funding and early-stage finance
• Experience with SaaS, platform, infrastructure, or ecosystem-based businesses
• Comfortable operating in ambiguity
• Strong communication skills with founders and investors
Time Commitment
• Fractional engagement
• Estimated 5–10 hours per week initially
• Flexible schedule with high-impact involvement
Compensation
• Hourly or fixed-rate consulting engagement paid in U.S. dollars through Upwork
• Rate to be determined based on experience and scope
