If you're passionate about creating innovative products that make a difference, we want to hear from you! **About the Role** As a Product Design Engineer at arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in shaping the future of home and music experiences. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to conceptualize ideas and solutions for complex design challenges. Your expertise will be essential in creating, modeling, assessing, and investigating new designs, leading design reviews, and presenting your work to cross-functional groups and leaders. **Key Responsibilities** * Collaborate with Modern Design, Projects, and cross-functional design teams to conceptualize ideas and solutions for complex design challenges * Create, model, assess, and investigate new designs, ensuring they meet corrective and functional requirements * Lead design reviews and contribute to peer design surveys, providing constructive feedback and insights * Present your work to cross-functional groups and leaders, effectively communicating design concepts and solutions * Produce detailed specifications and drawings, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail * Engage with internal manufacturing teams and external vendors to enhance designs for manufacturability, aesthetic appeal, and performance * Direct failure analysis and design of experiments (DOEs) to identify underlying drivers and implement corrective actions * Approve and describe designs through various iterations, ensuring consistency and quality * Foster deep technical expertise by taking designs from concept to production, ensuring they meet customer needs and expectations * Ensure that designs meet corrective and functional requirements, delivering top-tier products to our customers **Essential Qualifications** * Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Design or a related field * Strong foundation in design principles and high personal motivation * Design insight: exact mechanical intuition, creative problem-solving, curious nature, and attention to detail * Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, and visual, with the ability to clearly convey design concepts and ideas * Experience creating parts and assemblies in 3D CAD software * Experience in Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and other relevant methodologies * Working knowledge of finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) * Adaptability and comfort working in a rapidly evolving environment * Ability to travel globally (up to 20%) **Preferred Qualifications** * Master's degree in Mechanical Design or a related field * Experience in product development, design engineering, or a related field * Strong understanding of design for manufacturability, design for assembly, and other relevant methodologies * Familiarity with 3D printing, rapid prototyping, and other emerging technologies * Experience with design software, such as SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or CATIA * Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and outside the box **Work Environment and Company Culture** At arenaflex, we're committed to creating a work environment that's inclusive, diverse, and supportive.
