As a Customer Service Representative, you'll collaborate with clients in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner, providing top-notch support that exceeds their expectations.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Issue, reissue, and refund traveler tickets
* Book, ticket, and confirm flight reservations
* Rebook travelers on oversold flights and during irregular operations
* Perform traveler check-in and boarding tasks (excluding curbside), resolve oversold seat tasks, and issue upgrades
* Issue vouchers and assist with arrangements for traveler accommodations, meals, and transportation; coordinate fueling and re-fueling
* Perform traveler loading, including ticket lift and ticket lift/confirmation
* Operate door readers/scanners and related tasks, including pre-boarding, observing/checking carry-on items, and gate line standards
* Operate jetways/bridges for the purpose of boarding and deplaning travelers
* Create boarding and departure gate announcements
* Convey domestic/international flight records
* Perform traveler service flight close-out procedures
* Accept, check, and label travelers' bags at destination points, full-service ticket counters, and premium ticket counters
* Maintain the schedule of the flight loading process
* Perform customer service hands-on training
* Process and complete credit card transactions at stands in the ticket counter area and activation stations
* Assist travelers with self-service kiosk check-in and bag handling at ticket counters
* Manage lines at ticket counter stands and ticket counters
* Clear/confirm international reports at booths in the ticket counter area and activation stations
* Accept and activate travelers' self-labeled bags at activation stations
* Assist clients requiring special assistance or in-station; assist boarding, deplaning, and moving non-ambulatory travelers, special assistance travelers, as well as unaccompanied minors
* Perform customer service work related to handling domestic flights and contractor/ground handling arrangements or agreements
* Maintain regular and predictable attendance on site, including fulfilling any required overtime requirements.
* Answer and assist during security and emergency situations
* Provide connecting traveler gate information
* Provide quality customer service in a professional manner and in accordance with American's standards.
* Adhere to company policies, procedures, and performance standards.
* Complete applicable training stages
* Comply with federal laws (e.g. DOT, FAA, TSA)
* Utilize various internal tools/systems, including during customer interactions
* Wear uniforms as required by company policy
* All You'll Need for Success:
* Minimum Qualifications:
+ Education and Earlier Professional Training:
- Bachelor's degree
+ Bilingual language skills required in certain areas
+ Valid, substantial driver's license as required by local authorities
+ Must meet FAA background check requirements to qualify for unescorted access badges to airport security identification display area (SIDA), if applicable
+ Must be able to obtain suitable airport power or possibly US Customs security identification, if relevant
+ Completion of a pre-employment drug screen, thorough background check, or possibly fingerprinting to meet company and security requirements
+ Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

+ Training and Earlier Professional Training:
- Working knowledge of Sabre or other Traveler Service System
- Past face-to-face customer service experience
- Working in a high-speed environment
