Job Overview The Customer Service Associate role at arenaflex is a dynamic and rewarding position that plays a critical part in delivering exceptional customer experiences. As a key member of our store operations team, you will work closely with the store management team to facilitate and perform a variety of tasks, including customer service, food and beverage preparation, cash register duties, general housekeeping, and other related functions. Your primary goal will be to provide an enjoyable shopping experience for all customers, responding to their requests and concerns in a timely and courteous manner, and utilizing our GREAT customer service and customer recovery model to ensure customer engagement. Key Responsibilities - Greet and provide an enjoyable shopping experience for all customers, responding to their requests and concerns in a timely and courteous manner. - Communicate with the management team regarding customer requests and concerns, ensuring that all issues are addressed promptly and professionally. - Operate the cash register, scan items, bag merchandise, and properly handle different methods of payment, maintaining proper cash levels in the register drawer and change machines. - Comply with federal and state laws by requesting personal identification from customers who are purchasing restricted products, such as tobacco and/or alcohol. - Stock and refill product within the interior and exterior core register area, cold express cases, bakery, and grocery aisles, ensuring that all areas are well-maintained and stocked at all times. - Perform customer fuel transactions and monitor activities at the fuel court, stopping fuel pumps if necessary, and ensuring that all safety protocols are followed. - Prepare all made-to-order food and/or beverages according to recipe or customer specifications, ensuring that all products are of high quality and meet our standards. - Stock food and beverage areas with products and supplies, ensuring that all areas are well-stocked and maintained at all times, and that coffee thermals are filled and working properly. - Ensure the proper execution of assigned foodservice and beverage programs and procedures, following all safety, security, quality, and store operations policies, procedures, and practices as outlined in our policy manual, training materials, and other publications. - Complete cleanliness tasks to ensure that all food and beverage service areas are free of any residue, debris, and spills, and that all equipment is properly maintained and cleaned. - Follow proper coding procedures, checking expiration codes, facing and inspecting all items, pulling expired items, documenting, and discarding as necessary. - Adhere to the execution of established safety, security, quality, and store operations policies, procedures, and practices, ensuring that all aspects of the store are well-maintained and secure. - Complete all store housekeeping functions, including cleaning, dusting, sweeping, mopping, emptying trash, and ensuring that all areas of the store are clean and well-maintained. - Ensure safe working conditions by maintaining a clean, organized work area, following all safety protocols, and reporting any hazards or concerns to management. - Complete other tasks as assigned by store management, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: - Ability to work well individually and as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Good communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers, colleagues, and management. - Excellent customer service skills, with a strong focus on providing exceptional experiences and resolving customer complaints in a timely and professional manner. - Ability to learn and demonstrate all arenaflex Safety and Quality Assurance processes and procedures, following all safety protocols and guidelines. - Ability to work overtime as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities. - Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively to meet deadlines and achieve goals. - Must be able to perform the following physical behaviors repetitively throughout a shift: standing, walking, handling, reaching horizontally, and grasping firmly. - Must be able to perform the following physical behaviors frequently throughout a shift: reaching above the shoulder, reaching below the waist, pushing buttons, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, and pushing. - Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs, demonstrating the ability to safely handle and maneuver equipment and products. - Must be at least 16 years old, with reliable transportation and the ability to wear slip-resistant shoes at all times. - Must be able to tolerate exposure to cleaning products, demonstrating the ability to safely handle and use cleaning materials and equipment. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred: - Pursuit of or high school diploma or equivalent, demonstrating a commitment to education and personal development. - Prior food service and/or customer service experience, demonstrating a strong understanding of customer needs and expectations, and the ability to provide exceptional experiences.
