The Director, Global Strategy is responsible for leading key strategy projects that ensure Wella’s sustained market leadership and value creation. Reporting to the VP, Global Strategy & Insights, this individual will both support the development of our enterprise strategy and lead projects that support the execution of our consumer- and customer-centric growth agenda and future-facing business opportunities across brand, market, category, and capability extensions.
Responsibilities
• Lead strategic projects that deliver value to global and regional business teams, drive profitable long-range growth plans, and improve our competitive advantages
• Lead cross-functional partners through project scoping, research, workshops, and analysis to drive towards strategic recommendations
• Find growth and profitability opportunities through robust data analysis; communicate those opportunities to a range of stakeholders to drive action and insight
• Build communications/decks to create clarity across the organization; drive rigorous execution in-market
• Lead/support process for new capability builds as required
• Play a leading role in the Wella Company corporate strategic planning cycle, providing thought leadership, quantitative and qualitative analysis, recommendations, and material preparation for a range of stakeholders, including our investors and BOD
• Build functional Strategy excellence for Wella Co.
• Propose & adopt best-in-class frameworks, business case methodology, tools, and approaches
• Communicate strategies and concepts in ways that drive clarity, energy, and inspiration across the organization
• Act with speed & urgency to enable timely strategic decisions for the company
• Build relationships to ensure information flow and partnership
Requirements
• 6+ years of experience, including 2+ years of top-tier management consulting experience (required), with brand/corporate/PE experience a plus
• Undergraduate business degree or MBA strongly preferred
• Proven track record of leading small, cross-functional teams to drive outcomes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent communicator; quick learner
• Highly collaborative and relationship-driven
