Opportunity Overview
We have an immediate opening for a Cryopreservation Billing Specialist to join our team at Luminary Life Sciences working Remote.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

In this role, the Cryopreservation Billing Specialist will:
- Work denials by correcting, resubmitting, or appealing claims as appropriate.
- Adjust accounts in accordance with denial findings and payer requirements.
- Provide feedback to leadership and other departments to prevent recurring denials.
- Review and investigate accounts flagged for collections.
- Perform pre-listing reviews to confirm accounts meet criteria for collections.
- Collaborate with collections agencies when accounts are approved for transfer.
- Communicate with patients and insurance companies as needed to resolve outstanding balances.
- Work directly with other internal departments (e.g., billing, patient services, operations) to resolve account discrepancies.
- Provide monthly and ad hoc reporting to management on claim status, denials, collections, and authorization trends.
- Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce claim denials or delays.
What You’ll Bring

Qualifications and Skills Include:
- High School Diploma acceptable with appropriate hands-on experience.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in healthcare preferred
- Billing, collection and fertility experience preferred
- Computer proficiency required.
- Excellent spreadsheet skills
- Ability to access, input, and retrieves information from a computer. Medical software program experience required.
- Knowledge of office procedure and office machines (i.e. computer, fax, copier, etc.).
- Ability to demonstrate good judgment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and build and maintain effective working relationships.
- Strong customer service and results orientation; highly responsive to requests.
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
