Role Overview We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Credit Controller & Bookkeeper to support the clinic’s financial operations. This role is key to maintaining accurate financial records, managing income and collections, and providing clear financial insight to support decision-making. The successful candidate will manage day-to-day bookkeeping and credit control activities, liaise with patients and insurance providers, and play an active role in income forecasting and financial monitoring. Key Responsibilities Bookkeeping & Financial Administration ● Processing day-to-day financial transactions, including invoices, expenses and payments ● Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records ● Reconciling accounts and financial statements ● Using Pabau (our clinic system) to ensure accurate financial reporting Credit Control & Billing ● Raising patient and insurance invoices accurately and promptly ● Managing and running an efficient credit control and collections process ● Liaising with patients and insurance companies regarding billing, payments and overdue balances, with empathy and professionalism ● Setting up and maintaining automated payment systems Forecasting & Financial Monitoring ● Preparing weekly income forecasts ● Carrying out daily forecast vs actual variance analysis, identifying and communicating discrepancies ● Supporting budgeting and cashflow monitoring ● Assisting with the preparation of financial reports for management Skills & Experience Essential ● Experience in a bookkeeping, finance assistant or credit control role ● Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy ● Confidence working independently and managing workload effectively ● Good communication skills, particularly when handling sensitive payment conversations Desirable ● AAT (Level 3+) / ICB qualification or qualified by experience ● Experience in healthcare finance, including billing and insurance processes (e.g. Healthcodes, CSSD) ● Experience using Pabau or other clinic systems ● Strong Excel skills Why Join Us? ● Competitive hourly rate ● Flexible, remote working ● Supportive and collaborative team environment ● Opportunity to contribute to a clinic that makes a meaningful difference to patients’ lives Job Type: Part-time, Permanent Hours: 20 hours per week Pay: £20 per hour (depending on experience If you are a dedicated individual with a passion for finance and possess the required qualifications, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity as a Credit Controller Please submit a CV and covering letter to the email address below.
