I am seeking an experienced copy editor for a nonfiction Christian-based science education booklet (approximately 17,485 words; currently ~70 manuscript pages, expected 70–80 pages in final print layout).
The booklet explains scientific topics (physics, biology, cosmology, and light) for a general audience and homeschool families, presenting scientific discussion within a Christian worldview. The goal is clarity, readability, and professional polish while preserving the author’s voice and intended meaning.
This project is intended for print publication (7x10 format) and broad public distribution.
Scope of Work:
Copy editing for grammar, punctuation, spelling, and consistency
Improvements to clarity, readability, and flow
Sentence and paragraph structure suggestions
Light restructuring recommendations where helpful
Consistency of terminology and tone
Feedback on sections that are unclear, repetitive, or awkward

Editing using Track Changes in Microsoft Word
