Veteran, Military Spouse or Military Affiliated are encouraged to apply! Job Summary The Chief of Staff assists a senior executive with day-to-day activities, including assigned special projects. Works closely with the senior executive's team responsible for completing C-suite-level projects and initiatives; creates presentations and materials, and prepares and analyzes data to support these initiatives. This is a high intensity position that requires a strong analytics knowledge, technical writing skills, project management experience and leadership skills. Monitors and drives progress for multiple large TriWest initiatives, working closely with ePMO, program managers, project managers and business leaders to proactively address systemic concerns and completes initiatives. Drafts white papers based on data analysis and research. Utilizes consulting and facilitation approaches for collaboration with business and project owners and other stakeholders. Education & Experience Required: • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience • U.S. Citizen • Must be able to receive a favorable Interim and adjudicated final Department of Defense (DoD) background investigation • 5+ years' experience managing complex initiatives that includes leadership roles in driving results • 5+ years' experience in business analysis, strategic planning, and/or consulting • Extensive experience with MS Office products to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project and other reporting and statistical tools • Experience in process and program improvement and business planning • Experience in managing multiple business initiatives simultaneously • Experience preparing presentation and reports Preferred: • Master's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration. or related field • Previous experience staffing senior level officers/executives • 5+ years' experience in project management, with projects supporting senior and C-suite leaders • 5+ years' experience managing complex projects/teams • Healthcare, management, or analytical consulting experience • Veteran, Military Spouse or Military Affiliated • Experience and knowledge of the VA health system and/or Military Health System Key Responsibilities • Works directly for the assigned senior executive on projects and activities as requested. Also works closely with other members of the management team. • Works on multiple high level projects including logistical coordination, data analysis, contract management and written communications in support of various business initiatives of high visibility, applying project management tools and methodologies and leadership skills to meet or exceed deadlines. • Assists senior executive with tracking and monitoring strategic business initiatives ensuring timeliness, anticipating and resolving issues, ensuring quality and effective integrations or transitions. • Accompanies the senior executive to high level meetings; takes initiative to create front end materials for the meetings, and to follow up on action items following the meetings, anticipating the needs of the senior executive. • Facilitates communication, coordination and collaboration with corporate management on behalf of senior executive. Serves as primary interface with corporate leadership in tracking and resolving issues. • Provides meeting management, planning and coordination, and drafts agendas, presentations, handouts and read-ahead materials for executive and internal committee meetings and conferences. Ensures that the senior executive is prepared for meetings by coordination of agendas and briefings/summaries in advance. Prepares information papers, fact sheets, and other correspondence with very short completion times. • Anticipates issues and opportunities and advises senior executive accordingly. Develops and maintains necessary tracking matrices and deliverables. Measures progress of meeting targeted goals, keeping the senior executive properly informed. Supports the management of the executive's calendar to ensure goals are met. • Coordinates special projects, including business planning initiatives, and reporting as requested and in collaboration with ePMO.
