We are looking for a Centralized Remote MRI Technologist located in Shelton CT to join our team. The pay range for this role will depend on experience and qualifications. Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:45am-3:15pm Position Summary: The Centralized Remote MRI Technologist-Shelton CT operates MRI equipment virtually to support high-quality diagnostic imaging while ensuring patient safety and comfort. This role is responsible for performing remote imaging procedures, reviewing patient information, maintaining accurate documentation, and upholding all imaging and safety standards. The ideal candidate demonstrates professionalism, compassion, and a strong commitment to patient-centered care. MRI Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Utilize advanced remote-operation technology to guide MRI scans, ensuring high-quality and accurate diagnostic images. • Maintain continuous visual monitoring of the patient throughout the scan and communicate effectively with on-site staff via chat or phone. • Review on-site patient screening documentation to identify potential safety concerns or contraindications. • Collaborate with on-site technologists or healthcare providers to operate MRI equipment and troubleshooting issues in real time. • Ensure all imaging procedures comply with MRI safety standards, including proper equipment handling and patient safety protocols. • Verify all pre-scan documentation for completeness and accuracy. • Monitor image quality and ensure all scans meet established diagnostic clarity and accuracy standards. • Stay current with advancements in MRI technology, remote scanning practices, and MRI safety guidelines. • Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure proper management of electronic patient records. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Demonstrates commitment to excellence in patient care and exceptional customer service • Extensive computer background with strong application understanding, especially RIS/PACS software knowledge. • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure. • Organizational skills and the ability to coordinate a variety of activities and efforts. Physical demands/Working Conditions: Work is performed remotely in a centralized department of the organization. Work may require sitting or standing for long periods of time; also stooping, bending and stretching for supplies, and files. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to palpate, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Lifting to 30 pounds may be required. Manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination sufficient to operate a keyboard and other office equipment is required. Operating knowledge of radiographic equipment is mandatory. Contact with patients, interaction with physicians, and office staff is constant. Qualification
