About the role - Describe the role and team the candidate will be joining What you'll do - Expertly handle claims submitted via the OIC Portal, ensuring compliance with the RTA Small Claims Protocol and efficient progression of low value personal injury claims. - Effectively manage claims progressing through the MOJ Portal, encompassing Stages 1, 2, and where necessary, Stage 3 (litigation). - Conduct thorough investigations into liability, indemnity, and quantum, making accurate and timely decisions. - Proactively negotiate settlements with claimants, their representatives, and third parties, aiming for optimal and fair outcomes. - Identify and investigate potentially fraudulent claims, escalating as per company protocols. - Liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders, including claimants, solicitors, medical experts, engineers, and internal teams. - Ensure accurate reserving and maintain comprehensive claim records. - Adhere to all regulatory requirements and company guidelines, including Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles. - Contribute to continuous process improvement and share best practices within the team. Qualifications - Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Motor Bodily Injury Adjuster in the UK market. - Knowledge of multi jurisdictional claims (England & Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland). - A strong understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR), Pre Action Protocols, and relevant legislation - Experience in identifying and pursuing subrogation and recovery opportunities - Ability to manage a demanding caseload independently, prioritising effectively to meet targets and service level agreements - Ability to deal with delegated authority and client philosophies - Ability to analyse and evaluate complex data and make sound decisions based on established guidelines, policies, and procedures - Experience in handling non-portal personal injury claims. - Commercially astute, with a focus on balancing customer outcomes with business interests. - Curious and motivated by problem solving and questioning the status quo - Desire to engage in learning opportunities and continuous professional development - Willingness to travel for client and claims needs Benefits - Generous health-insurance package - Pension plan with employer contributions - Competitive holiday / leave policy in addition to bank holidays – we want our employees fresh, healthy, happy, and energized! - Industry Qualifications paid by us (after a qualifying period) - Work from anywhere to facilitate your work-life balance - Apple laptop, large second monitor, and other quality-of-life equipment.
