The California Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation (CDCR) is seeking an Analyst I to support its mission of enhancing public safety and facilitating successful community reintegration. The role involves utilizing the Human Resources Technology System to streamline the hiring process and maintain cooperative working relationships within the department and with external partners.
Responsibilities
- Individuals who are eligible for a Training and Development assignment may also be considered for this position(s)
- HRTS will require new candidates to set up an account, which allows them to track their application’s progress
- Through their account portal, candidates will also be able to provide any additional information needed in the hiring process, including setting up interviews as needed
- Regular and consistent attendance is critical to the successful performance of this position
- Must be regularly available and willing to work the hours necessary to meet the business needs
- Telework is available for employees who can satisfactorily perform their essential work functions independently and remotely
- Specific telework schedules may be discussed further during the interview process
- Travel is required
- The position(s) require(s) a Background Investigation be cleared prior to being hired
- Possession of Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment
- Candidates new to CDCR/CCHCS are required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan Fingerprinting, as well as a Tuberculosis test/evaluation prior to appointment, followed by department annual Tuberculosis testing/evaluation thereafter
- When submitting supporting documents, PDF file format is preferred
Skills
- Possession of Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment

- A Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is required. Interested individuals MUST submit a SOQ along with their application package
- The SOQ must not be longer than 2 pages in length, Calibri 12-point font, and single-spaced
- Please make sure to have your name printed on the top left-hand side of your SOQ
- When responding to the questions, please number and restate the question on the SOQ
- When completing the SOQ, please include 1) places of employment, 2) pertinent dates, 3) duties performed, etc. when identifying your qualifications
- A notation or reference to other materials such as resumes or the application will not be considered
- A Cover Letter and Resume does not take the place of a SOQ
